It was a great day in 6th form today for their last day before the Christmas holidays! We are extremely fortunate to have over 100 fantastic students within our 6th form, who are committed and dedicated individuals. They have the highest attendance in the school, they support the whole community regularly and there are many who go above and beyond time and time again.
6th form is such a short time and goes very, very quickly. The pressure is on from day one to make sure that our students are ready for when they leave us, working through their academic studies, developing opportunities to gain new skills to prepare them for the world of work and so on. So we thought we would invite them to a reward session today. By way of votes, Home Alone was selected as their choice of film. Mrs Chittenden made sure we had plenty of snacks and the common was rearranged to create a cinema feel to it. It was great to be able to recognise their excellence and give them a couple of hours to relax with their teachers!
We are extremely grateful for everything that they do and wish them a happy Christmas.
